A licensed associate professional counselor (LAPC) is a counselor who is currently being supervised by a fully licensed LPC (licensed professional counselor) after going through their education and training - similar to a doctor in residency.

Who Am I?

Hi! I’m Olivia (she/her/hers) and I am a licensed associate professional counselor (LAPC) who has experience helping adults and adolescents recover from trauma, build confidence, grow into their authentic selves, and manage anxiety, depression, anger, and day-to-day stressors. I am a cisgender, bisexual, Caucasian woman.

I love working with:

  • teens and adults in the LGBTQIA+ community who aren’t sure about their identity and need a safe space to be themselves

  • LGBTQIA+ teens and adults who are trying to figure out how to come out to their loved ones

  • teens and adults who don’t feel like they fit into this hectic world

How I Help

As a therapist, it is my goal to encourage, support, and help you collect skills to handle the ever-changing stresses of life. Our work will instill confidence in you, and help you find that spark to keep your confidence going long after we’re finished! We will work together to identify goals that truly matter to you, and adjust them as needed to meet you where you are emotionally. You’re in control - we will always go at your pace, and I will always be right there with you. Therapy is challenging, naturally - but if you’re looking for a therapist who will get into the weeds with you - working closely with you and your own expertise about your life - I’m here for you!

I believe that acceptance and trust are the most important aspects of a therapeutic relationship. I am always keen to understand and support individuals from diverse backgrounds, as well as foster a safe space in our sessions where you feel valued and understood.

What it’s like in a session with me

When you join me for a session, you will enter a welcoming, non-judgmental space. I am authentically myself and wish to provide an environment where you feel safe to be the same. I understand how hard it is to start therapy, whether this is your first time or your fourth time. Delving into pieces of yourself that are fragile to begin with can be very uncomfortable, but when we meet, it is my hope that you will feel unburdened and able to come out of your shell.

Each and every one of us is unique and deserves to show up as themselves and be loved, valued, and heard. In session, I view you as an expert on yourself and want to learn about your world from your perspective. You will always feel respected and be able to discuss anything and everything that you deem relevant. No matter how small your concerns may seem, I am always eager to hear about them!

More about me

I have an eclectic bunch of hobbies, but you'll often find me out and about at local happenings with my fiance, scouring the beach for sea glass or cool rocks, or hanging out at the local cat cafe, Purrista! I LOVE video games, my favorites right now are Baldur's Gate 3, Fallout 4, Fortnite, and Minecraft Dungeons. I also love anime and too many television shows to count! Right now I'm watching Spy x Family, Yellowstone, and Abbott Elementary.

I also love Erie! I consider "nothing to do in Erie" to be very false and love attending hockey games, baseball games, wrestling events, conventions, festivals, speedway events, and concerts. Trying different restaurants in the area is something my fiance and I enjoy greatly, as well as hiking and kayaking.

“When the other person is hurting, confused, troubled, anxious, alienated, terrified; or when he or she is doubtful of self-worth, uncertain as to identity, then understanding is called for. The gentle and sensitive companionship of an empathic stance… provides illumination and healing. In such situations deep understanding is, I believe, the most precious gift one can give to another.”
