Who Am I?
Hey there! I’m Jessica (she/her), a licensed professional counselor who has dedicated my career to learning about anxiety and emotional disconnection. I am a cisgender Caucasian female.
I love working with:
women living in larger bodies
adults who feel like their parents are driving them crazy
people who are noticing their childhood relationships coming back to haunt them in their current relationships
How I Help
I became a therapist specifically to help my clients know that they’re not alone. That the problems they’re facing are ones that are human, common, and many. You’re probably feeling like you are weird, or that something is wrong with you - and I’m here to tell you that you’re reacting normally to what has grown into a truly whack-a-doo world.
I have a passion for helping Millennials sort through their thoughts and emotions in a healthy way, while navigating the craziness of today’s world with self-compassion. It’s my mission to help you think clearly, feel genuinely, and evolve into the best form of yourself.
What it’s like in a session with me
If you’re anxious about coming to therapy, look no further. I know that it is really challenging to get started, and I come into the room with kindness, compassion, and calm to help you relax and get comfortable.
That being said, if you want or need someone to call you on your shit, I’m also your girl! I don’t mince words when they need to be straight - it’s my job to help you improve in life, and sometimes that means that you need to be told the uncomfortable stuff.
More about me
During my free time I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, my husband, or my dogs and cats. I’m truly a grandma at heart and love to craft, particularly cross-stitching, but you’ll also find me digging into the most immersive video games (currently replaying The Witcher 3 for the umpteenth time) or great TV (Fallout was AMAZING, BTW).
