Who Am I?

Hi! I’m Allison (she/her) and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has experience helping teens and adults recover from trauma, manage anxiety, and get through life transitions. I am a cisgender Caucasian woman.

I love working with:

  • people who are going through a change in their life and feeling “off”

  • women who are looking to heal from an abusive, violent, or toxic relationship

  • those who have experienced a traumatic event

  • people who have lost someone close to them and don’t know if they’ll be able to keep going

How I Help

As a therapist, I want to help you reach your goals and live more authentically. I look to provide support and positive affirmation but also work to challenge you when appropriate. I want to meet you where you are and work together to get through the hard times. My goal is to empower you and help you develop tools to work through life's difficulties as they come.

If you've experienced trauma in the form of abuse, death or sexual assault and wish to begin the journey towards healing, therapy may help to provide the clarity that you need. The thought of discussing trauma can be intimidating and scary, but you're not alone. Together we can work through the pain and fear to come out stronger on the other side.

I typically use a mix of mindfulness practices, cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma focused strategies in my work with clients.

What it’s like in a session with me

I like to tailor my approach to each client. If you need more guidance to get comfortable with the therapy experience, that's okay! If you're more familiar with therapy and like to be in the driver's seat, that's great as well! I want to provide a supportive, affirming environment that allows you to feel comfortable working through struggles as well as celebrating the wins.

I believe that therapy is not prescriptive and should not be done using a one size fits all approach. I look to tailor my approach to your individual needs.

More about me

During my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, my dog and two cats. When I am not lounging around the house, I love to hike, swim and play tennis. I love exploring Erie and enjoy going to the local shops and restaurants for sweet treats and yummy food! I am also an avid podcast listener and enjoy true crime, horror and psychology podcasts.

Who Am I?

Hey there! I’m Jessica (she/her), a licensed professional counselor who has dedicated my career to learning about anxiety and emotional disconnection. I am a cisgender Caucasian female.

I love working with:

  • women living in larger bodies

  • adults who feel like their parents are driving them crazy

  • people who are noticing their childhood relationships coming back to haunt them in their current relationships

How I Help

I became a therapist specifically to help my clients know that they’re not alone. That the problems they’re facing are ones that are human, common, and many. You’re probably feeling like you are weird, or that something is wrong with you - and I’m here to tell you that you’re reacting normally to what has grown into a truly whack-a-doo world.

I have a passion for helping Millennials sort through their thoughts and emotions in a healthy way, while navigating the craziness of today’s world with self-compassion. It’s my mission to help you think clearly, feel genuinely, and evolve into the best form of yourself.

What it’s like in a session with me

If you’re anxious about coming to therapy, look no further. I know that it is really challenging to get started, and I come into the room with kindness, compassion, and calm to help you relax and get comfortable.

That being said, if you want or need someone to call you on your shit, I’m also your girl! I don’t mince words when they need to be straight - it’s my job to help you improve in life, and sometimes that means that you need to be told the uncomfortable stuff.

More about me

During my free time I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, my husband, or my dogs and cats. I’m truly a grandma at heart and love to craft, particularly cross-stitching, but you’ll also find me digging into the most immersive video games (currently replaying The Witcher 3 for the umpteenth time) or great TV (Fallout was AMAZING, BTW).

“Commitment isn’t about being perfect, always following through, or never going astray. Commitment means that when you (inevitably) stumble or get off track, you pick yourself up, find your bearings, and carry on in the direction you want to go.”
